Second Day in Keys

So Sweet.


Our second day in the Keys we spent at one of the beaches in Bahia State Park. It was a beautiful beach and we enjoyed how shallow the water was even long distances from shore. Natalie and Stephen both decided to give snorkling a try that day. Stephen put on his mask but was too scared to put his face in the water. Natalie kept getting water in her mouth because her mouth wasn't strong enough to hold the snorkle in and keep her lips closed at the same time. But, even without snorkeling we found lots of fun shells--Natalie even randomly stepped on a conch shell!










I LOVE this picture! It highlights the white sand and water so clear you can see your toes....Last year we went to Corpus Christi the "chocolate milk water beach" and when we arrived Natalie looked around confused and said, "Daddy this isn't the beach is it?" It wasn't what she had pictured a beach looking like. Despite it not looking as nice as a 'real beach' we had the MOST amazing day ever but David promised her that someday he would take her to a beach with white sand and where the water was so clear you can look down and see your toes--I think that promise is one of the reasons he was anxious to go down to Florida and check out their beaches! Actually Natalie keeps seeing commercials for Atlantis (a resort in the Bahamas) and I know David has talked about that place--a sure bet to keep the white sand, clear water promise--but it has remained outside of our budget so far:)



































These sunset pictures were taken at Seven Mile Bridge- we decided to get a picnic dinner of KFC and enjoy the sunset and a walk along the bridge. The kids LOVED having a picnic and they really enjoyed the sunset and the walk. We found a sweet place right near our picnic bench to take advantage of the great light from the sunset and took some amazing pics of the kids too. What a great evening.
