Happy Father's Day!!

 Waiting to surpirse us with Stephen's costume and take 'tickets' for the play they were about to treat us to. They planned this play for over an hour the evening before--so precious!!

 This makes me smile!!  Ealier that week we went to a PAF party at Scottish Rite Hospital and this random costume was there.  This movie was a BIG deal to us when it came out--it was when Natalie was going through her first year of chemo and she never ate--we saw this in the theater and she loved it.  We loved how they made a big deal about food and made it look so yummy.  We tried this on Stephen just so we could get a picture of it--and my sweet friend told him to keep it.  LOVE!!

 David got called into work for overtime on Father's Day.  Normally getting overtime is a great thing--it is rare and the money is good.  He didn't want to have to go in on Father's Day but wasn't given a choice.  Poor guy!  The really cute thing is that the night before when we were making some Father's Day things I had the kids write some memories or things they liked about Daddy on the back of some paper ties we made and for one of them Stephen told me, "Bless that Daddy that he'll get home safe and not miss Father's Day."  So funny that he said something like that and then it turned out to be partly true.  What a cute boy!!

I had the kids fill out these sheets about Daddy.   A couple of the things from Stephen had David almost rolling on the floor laughing--SO FUNNY!!!  It turned out to be a big hit with David, he adored reading them. 

This one is our favorite: "What makes Daddy the best?"

Stephen: "He is always nice to me. He cooks stuff for his wife, but I hate when he kisses her lips!"

This was the gift we got David--it just came about a month late because we let him pick it out and with the baby coming early it got pushed back a bit.  David has REALLY needed a new grill-- he was still using the one he got for himself as a graduation gift from college right before I got pregnant with Natalie.  This one is cool because it has a gas grill, a charcoal grill, and a smoker all in one.  The brisket David smoked was AMAZING!!!  We love our special Daddy and hope he knows that we think he is the BEST!!!
