Check out The Colonel's new short, little man haircut. Pretty cute! I was thinking of cutting it myself, but David didn't trust me (who knew one haircut six years ago could be so traumatizing). Natalie picked the place she wanted Brother to go, one of those cute kids haircutting places. The 55 minute wait wasn't so fun because he kept making mad dashes back to the salon floor, but he was incredibly good for the cut. The stylist put on a Scooby Doo episode and he held totally still the entire time. 
David worked all day Sunday, but I didn't want him to miss all the fun. After Easter dinner, the doorbell rang and the Easter baskets were left on the porch. 
I have been wanting to make this cake for years, it is in an oreo recipe book that David bought me. I told Natalie we were going to make it and she decided we would make it every Easter for now on. We made one change, instead of a yellow cake we did carrot cake..yummy. Natalie loves carrot cake (even though she doesn't actually EAT the cake just licks the frosting). 
Our cake didn't look exactly like the one in the book, but it was pretty close and we had fun. A quote from Natalie, "I got it! We can make this same Easter cake EVERY year!" 
Easter Egg Hunt. Natalie got a heaping basketfull of eggs, she was very excited to count them. The Colonel just got a few eggs...he really enjoyed opening each egg he found and eating the candy inside before proceeding.

Looks like they had fun- they sure are growing up!
it is so funny to see little natalie- that same little munchkin face! hope you had fun at the HFC movie night.
