Pampa and Pamba

On March 27th, Natalie is going to shave David's head as part of St. Baldrick's.
Natalie is excited to help raise money so that doctors can help other kids with cancer. There are still many types of pediatric cancer with poor survival rates and the money raised through St. Baldrick's is funding rsearch grants and funding research fellowships. A few weeks ago I found out my parents were coming for a visit. Natalie and Stephen were very excited and were eagerly looking forward to their visit. Stephen was especially cute because of the new way he says Grandma and Grandpa, AND because he kept insisting they were coming TODAY.
After telling him for two weeks that Grandma and Grandpa weren't coming today, he didn't really believe me when the day finally arrived. Check out the cute way he says their name!

There was a lot of excitement in the air waiting for the big arrival. Natalie and Stephen were playing in their room together to pass the time.
Natalie came out dressed up in some cool stuff that she got at a MAW photo shoot.
A few minutes later she ran out exclaiming, "Mom I need the camera, I need the camera...he's so cute!" This is the picture she took. She was right, very cute!
A few minutes later she took this shot of him being a lion...I thought it was a pretty cool action shot.

We had a fun week with my parents. With my sister living only five minutes away from me now, I think we will enjoy double visits from my parents since they can spend time with both of us with one trip. We enjoyed spending time together and hanging out; it was busy with all of us but we had fun. My sister volunteered to watch all the kids because my Dad wanted to see Avatar on Imax 3-D. I was a bit surprised at how cool it was. Another cool thing we did was eat a french meal in a gas station. It was actually a place that my Dad saw featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It truly was a gas station, which was pretty cool. My Dad had duck and we had a lot of fun with the fried green tomatoe appetizer. Our friend Paula used to make Fried Green Tomatoes for David when he was a little boy, she's even made them for me before; so we had fun with that.
Natalie and I went to the store with my Dad and on the way he took us to this amazing Thai/Cambodian temple that he discovered while he was out jogging last time he visited. Natalie thought it was AMAZING and took several pictures of it. I made her get in a couple of them too:)
This one turned out so cute. They are no longer baldsy twinners, but they still have a close connection. My Dad is always telling Natalie how jealous he is of her beautiful hair...she loves that and thinks it is so funny!

Natalie has been so cute lately with her niece Emma. She keeps talking about how Emma "is just so cute," she says it in a voice as if she was talking about a cute kitty or puppy. I think Emma is loving it too because she is ALL girl and loves getting some attention from an older girl. Natalie wanted to take this picture of Emma wearing my shoes.
Stephen is so cute with his namesake, he loves his Pampa SO much!

Natalie is going to be performing at Wish Night again this year. Last week she was invited to come and participate in this photo shoot as part of the program and publicity for Wish Night. The theme is a circus and Natalie was a tight rope walker. She loved the cute outfit she got to wear and wished that she could keep it. It really fit her personality.


She also enjoyed meeting this cute little girl who also had ALL just like Natalie. She is a little older than Natalie and finished treatment about six months after Natalie. She and Natalie played together the entire time we were there.
