It's Almost Here...

Cute little toes...
Team Work!
You can never do too much baking at Christmas.

We've had a great week enjoying time as a family with Natalie being on vacation from school.

On Monday we enjoyed Daddy's day off. We really made use of the day. We enjoyed the beautiful warm Texas weather and had lunch outside. Natalie has been begging to go to the Children's Museum, so we enjoyed doing that and then headed over to Six Flags for the evening. It was balmy and beautiful and we had a wonderful time.
David has been asking Natalie if she is ready to go on Shock Wave for several months. She is tall enough, but she has not felt ready to go on her first upside down loopy loop coaster. On Monday she was chatting with a girl about her age as she stood in line and the little girl told Natalie that she went on Shock Wave. After that ride Natalie came out and told David she was ready to try it. We chuckled that a peer had way more influence on her:) She went on the front row and LOVED it!! She really is getting so BIG!! Look at that smile of excitement after the ride!!

I love this picture of Stephen, whenever we go to McDonald's lately he puts the box on his head and calls it his MASK.

On Tuesday night we enjoyed another balmy Texas night and went out to check out the Christmas area of downtown Grapevine. We happened to run into our friends whose daughter also had Leukemia. She finished chemo a year ago. It was so cute to see the girls hug each other and then dance and dance together in the Christmas gazebo. What a small world to run into them.

Watching Natalie and Stephen dance their hearts out in gazebo; filling the warm night air with laughter and giggles was one of my favorite moments of this Christmas season. It was especially sweet for them to share the moment with special friends. It reminded me of a night at Six Flags more two and 1/2 years ago when three year old Natalie and baby Stephen danced together in a gazebo at Six Flags. I loved the reminder.

I love this picture. He walked up and gave this penguin a LONG and heartfelt hug (we missed that) and then he planted this BIG kiss on its lips. Then he walked around and kissed all the other penguins. He is SO funny to watch, he moves his head around and kisses for a long time--he learned that from the Spiderman movie and he LOVES to copy it. Speaking of LOVE of penguins, check out this awesome penguin pillowcase. The lady who made Natalie's dress for the fashion show sent this to Stephen last month and he was in HEAVEN with it.
More loves for the penguins.

I love this, she is copying how the nutcracker is standing.

This was the most important thing to Natalie, she wanted to make sure we went over to see the nativity.
It was a great night. We enjoyed checking out all the little eating places along the old main street. Natalie was excited to pick out dinner- she picked a seafood place and had catfish for the third time this week:) Catfish is her new favorite fish, she tells me she even likes it more than salmon!
