15 Year Anniversary

For our 15 year anniversary, we left the kids with my parents and enjoyed a weekend in Austin on Lake Travis.  It was such a rare chance to get away; something we almost never do.  It was so nice to just relax and know the kids were with my parents being spoiled.  It was such a treat to swim and not have to be vigilant making sure a little one is safe...it's such a weird feeling to not have to worry about taking care of kids and always being "on."  We had fun trying out some cool places to eat in Austin.  It was our first time to stay in Austin; they are known for unique food, so it was right up our alley.

Breakfast on the patio, can't beat that.

One of the highlights for me was renting a boat and going out on Lake Travis.  It was an overcast day and it even rained while we were out there.  It was a lot of fun.  I even drove the boat...I was a little nervous but it was fun!

The drought there is really bad,
but it is still really pretty to see all the beautiful homes along the lake.

duck fat fries...different and yummy!

These food truck doughnuts were super yummy but SO rich!!!

Our actual anniversary was after we got home from Austin, but
David surprised me with a lunch date and flowers even though we had celebrated before.
