Our patriotic cupcake mix has been pulled out of the pantry countless times over the last three weeks, the wait to make them was hard for my two little munchkins. Maybe that is why they had SO much fun and took so much delight in making them and eating them! While we waited for the cupcakes to cool and to pass the time before Daddy came home from work, the kids put on a puppet show for me. They had so much fun.
This clown made their day. Both kids LOVED this clown and were giggling and even laughing out loud!! I love this picture, showing Stephen's adorable body language. He is always putting his hand on his hip or putting his arm against the wall and leaning in a cute way while he talks to people. His characteristic shrug is another thing I can't get enough of. Love how cute he is. The light up swords Daddy got were a big hit. I love Natalie's impromtu salute and you can't beat the Colonel's cheesy grin. Watching the kids faces during the fireworks was my favroite thing of the night. It was the best. The excitement of their faces, echoed the happiness and excitement in my heart. Stephen was hilarious because he would imitate the sounds of the fireworks as they went off, all the while staring at them with his mouth wide open. He was so funny. Enjoying the treats Daddy bought for them. Carmel apples have special memories for us with our girl, so it is fitting that she chose a carmel apple as her treat. Cute that both kids picked treats with the "baby m&ms." Natalie has been a fan of the baby variety since she was one. Natalie wanted a Fourth of July dress to wear to church since that was the actual 4th. We didn't have one, so we improvised this one--she turned out pretty cute.
