Fun With Grandparents!

Of course Grandma always brings goodies for everyone when she visits. She brought Natalie a pretty new pink flower dress that Natalie loves. Here is Natalie showing off the pretty gardenia flower Grandma bought in Hawaii for me. I had gardenias in my wedding boquet because I love them--they were also the flower David got me for prom. It looked especially pretty on my sweet girl.

Natalie is also modeling her new Tiana t-shirt. She has been dying to have a Princess Tiana outfit for some time now. She wore her Tiana ring and headband to complete the look:)

Grandma flew in on The Colonel's birthday, five days before Grandpa was able to come and join her. Of course the kids enjoyed Grandma--they were spoiled having two Grandmas in town at the same time!

Grandma took all the grandkids to a fun climbing place. Picture McDonald's playland (a favorite of my kids) but 15x bigger. Stephen has gone before but Natalie was in preschool--he loved showing her the ropes!

Both kids were in heaven once Grandpa came.
I'm sad to say that Stephen no longer says "Pampa and Pamba." He can say Grandpa and Grandma now, but I think we might forever call them that because it was so cute and has such good memories. Kind of like how we still call Natalie "Ebby" sometimes!
Giving Grandpa a proper welcome!

These two...so sweet!
Natalie holding a baby doll, she was pretending to feed her a few minutes before, so funny.
Natalie and Grandpa have a special bond; Natalie is the first grandchild.
Stephen is trying to rescue Natalie from Grandpa who is pretending to trap her, you can see from his face that he takes his playing quite seriously.

This is my favorite picture of my Dad and Natalie on this trip. Natalie and my Dad are always bantering back and forth about how Grandpa is jealous of Natalie's hair. He has always been jealous of my sister and my hair too:) In the case of Natalie, he just adores her hair, but they have fun joking about him being jealous.
Now Natalie has something to be jealous of Grandpa about...he has caught a fish and look at the size of it!! Oh and it was in Hawaii too:)
This was the baldsy twins way back when. No wonder Grandpa marvels so much!! Natalie's hair really is long these days...Pocahontis hair as Natalie calls it!

Grandpa is so cute...Grandpa took us all to eat at Nat's favorite place and was so proud when Natalie happily ordered her "snails...(a grin)...it's actually called escargo and lobster biscuit!" (actually lobster bisque). Just like me, he still marvels when she eats well because he still remembers when she could hardly eat. He probably remembers it even more keenly because he doesn't get to be around her all the time now. It makes us so happy to see her and I could see that all over his face as he watched her eat her snails!
