Destin

After spending the morning at Gulf Coast Gator Ranch, we drove 2 1/2 hours more and made it to Destin, Florida.  The first beach stop on our trip.  Before heading to the beach to get a few hours in before sunset we grabbed dinner.  Now David and I LOVE food and we LOVE to try new places and we LOVE yelp because it helps us find unique and local places that you wouldn't ever find on your own.  Whenever we spend time at the beach, we have an unwritten rule that we eat seafood!!!  Natalie has LOVED seafood since she was a baby--even when she could hardly eat at all and so that has always made it a favorite for us.  She has always had a crazy palate!!  And whenever there is a chance at fresh sea food you have to get it.  We ate seafood for almost every dinner of our trip- but this first place we went to in Destin was my favorite--I STILL think about the fried oysters.  Stewbys--a local place with 4 1/2 stars on yelp--it didn't disappoint!!  I'm putting it on my blog so I can remember it next time we go to Destin!!!

Ok--enough about food...the beach was REALLY beautiful and the kids were SO excited to get there and be out of the car!!!

    Ice cream after the beach!!!

This was one of my favorite things--Brian saw this when we were eating our ice cream and insisted on going to pose.  Hotdog, hotdog he kept telling us.  He knew just what to do and had the huge ice cream crowd tickled with his "cheesy grin!!"
