Last Day at Disney- Day Six

To start the morning, the kids got to ride a horse at GKTW. The corral was right outside our villa. It was a lot of fun. Natalie loves riding horses, and it was The Colonel's first time.

Afterwards, they both got hats and a certificate. They loved it. Those hats were fun trying to get home. I had to wear them on the plane, stacked on top of each other for that matter. Pretty nice Mom aren't I? (p.s. That wet spot on Nat's shirt is from her mickey button coming open and leaking out a little-yuck!)
We enjoyed a nice breakfast at the Gingerbread house (at GKTW). Stephen got cozy with Majoy Clayton. He was starting to really like all the characters he was meeting:)
He was getting a little crazy while everyone was trying to finish eating, so he earned himself a ride on his favorite Lion on the carousel. Natalie joined us a few minutes later. Then it was time to head out to the parks, it would be a long day, we were planning on hitting Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. Ambitious huh? Natalie decided to wear one of the princess dresses I had brought that she got from The Princess Alexa Foundation at her send-off party. It is washable and so a perfect choice.


When we first arrived at Hollywood Studios, we went to the Little Mermaid show. It was great, we all LOVED it. When the show started, they made it seem like we were underwater using special effects. Natalie leaned over to us and said, "it's ok guys, it's just movie projector water!" She cracks me up with what she knows. It was in fact a movie projector making the water. No photography was allowed, but it was a great show.

After watching Ariel, Grandma took the kids to get seats at the Beauty & Beast show while we snuck in a quick ride on the Arrowsmith roller coaster. It was fun. Then we rushed back to the Beauty & Beast show, making it just in time.
We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the show. This song was the same one Natalie performed in May at Wish Night, Be Our Guest. For Wish Night, the kids even had big silverwear that they carried around just like in this show. I loved it and remembered how cute Natalie was doing her little dance.
Look at those dresses. I have to admit I was just in love with it all as Natalie was. I am a girly girl at heart, just like my princess...always have been.
After we left the show, we noticed Natalie walking down the stairs funny. My first thought was, oh no what's wrong, thinking she was having abdominal pain or something. Then I quickly realized what she was doing...she was walking down the stairs like a princess. Very prim and proper, with her hands clasped together. Pretty cool that she was wearing Belle's winter dress. As we kept going, another little girl who was leaving the show saw Natalie. She got an excited look on her face, like she was meeting one of the princesses, and gave Natalie a big hug. It was so cute. I love little kids. Another really funny thing during the week we were at Disney is that Natalie called me, Mother, the entire week. But she said it very properly and in a different voice, more high pitched and ESPECIALLY sweet. What a funny girl she is.
David and I rode the Tower of Terror while Grandma treated the kids to a popscicle break. We went on the ride faster than they could eat their popscicles!
Then we went to the Muppet 3-D show. David is a HUGE muppets fan and so we all really enjoyed that.


Grandma took Stephen to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area while we took Natalie on Star Tours ride. She was scared to do it, but after she loved it and told us it was her 'first time.' Then we took Natalie to join Brother. They watched the end of this movie a month earlier, so I hoped they would like it. They did!
They did not want to leave. I took a souveneir home, I bumped my head on a big stone mushroom and had a sore head a goose egg for an entire week after we got home!
Can you believe Natalie sat on this, I thought she would be scared, but she loved it! We had to pull them away to go to Epcot.


We went to Epcot with one puropse...find Mulan in China. Pocahantis told us that is where we could find her. Natalie didn't want to forget one single princess. She never forgets the less popular princesses, she loves them all.
On the way to China, we passed Mexico City. Grandma grew up in Mexico City a long time ago, when it was a much smaller place. We made Grandma pose and bought the kids little marachas.
Luck was with us and we found Mulan just minutes before she was about to leave. She was so sweet and pretty and Natalie loved meeting her. The Colonel was asleep so he missed meeting Mulan. We decided to have lunch in China for a change of pace. Then we headed over to the Finding Nemo exhibit that looked pretty cool.
There was a fun ride that we all went on together and then we went to the Turtle Talk with Crush. That was really cool. Natalie sat up on the floor in front, she thought it was soooo funny.
They enjoyed looking around, but we didn't spend too much time since we wanted to get back to Magic Kingdom.

As we were heading to the entrance we came across the character greeting going on, so we stopped and did that. The kids still hadn't gotten to meet Mickey, and Stephen was very excited to do that. He was starting to really get into the autograph thing too. It was very convenient because so many characters were in one line. It was fun.






Then it was time to head back to Magic Kingdom, three parks in one day was a little ambitious, but we got to do the things Natalie wanted the most. Some time we'll have to come back and try to do all the things we didn't have time for.

Back to Magic Kingdom to end our day, what a beautiful sight the castle was at dusk when we arrived!We enjoyed walking past and through the castle again!
Our first stop was to go on the Snow White ride, which everybody loved.
With this view of the castle behind us, how could we not feel the magic.
Next we all went on the Winnie the Pooh ride and then we looked through one of the cute gift shops because the ride let you out there. So tricky!
My stomach doesn't do so well on the tea cups (especially because David and Natalie love to spin FAST), so I stayed behind and Grandma looked through the shops while the kids and their Daddy went on the tea cups.


Next our little family went on the Dumbo ride. It is a style of ride that Natalie loves, where you go around and then you have controls for going up or down. Grandma must not like that kind of ride, because she stayed back. I got to go with my Natalie and it was SO special.
As we went around and around with the wind on our faces and the castle in our view with each turn, Natalie told me it felt like we were foing to the ball together. We were talking together after the Dumbo ride, I was holding my Natalie's hand and she said, "I have a little story about ME and MY MOMMY walking together." Then she told me to lean down and she whispered in my ear, "MY MOMMY!" and gave me a kiss, to which I responded, "MY GIRL!" and gave her a kiss.
Natalie and Stephen had fun playing together on this Dumbo play thing. After that, we headed over to Goofies Barn Stormer. The Colonel was too short so he and Grandma hung out while we took Natalie on the roller coaster. It was the BEST small roller coaster I have ever been on and Natalie LOVED it. The ride operator told Natalie she could ride as many times as she wanted without getting off in between rides. She would've ridden it all night if he had let her. We compromised on three since Brother was waiting. After she got off, the ride operator gave her a little card that said she was a frequent rider, she thought that was cool. She gave the girl one of her thank you cards too!
To end the night because there wasn't too much time before we were going to leave, we asked Natalie what she wanted to do. She wanted to meet the princesses again, of course, did we even need to ask? So we headed to Pixie Hollow first, where Natalie became enchanted with the idea of shrinking down to fit inside Pixie Hollow.

Then it was off to the princesses...

One last time....

It was less busy and each one spent quite a bit of time with her...




Just as we came out from seeing the princesses, the fireworks were going off. We watched them from a different angle. All of us soaked up the moment, a perfect way to end Disney.

Well, we were going to end on the fireworks, but then we had to wait for people to go to the bathroom, so while we waited Natalie wanted to check out Minnie's house. Both Stephen and Natalie loved it. It was so cute. Grandma met back up with us and she loved it too. Can't waste time ya know.
