Making gingerbread cookies- a Burraston tradition.
Little guy snoozes while we bake!! 21 weeks old--time is flying!
The always pretty Natalie!
So precious!!
The kids were SO SO SO excited to get an Elf on the Shelf!!
They were so cute and somehow on the same page with each other shouting out that his name was "ReddyWhiteyHidey!!"
If you couldn't see the tired look on my face in the earlier picture--I sent the kids to bed before we finished all the cookies. They were AMAZED when they woke up in the morning and ReddyWhiteyHidey had finished baking them all...but he didn't clean up:0)
Stephen seriously thought it was the coolest thing ever and got SO excited he almost forgot that he wasn't supposed to touch our Elf.
ReddyWhiteyHidey taught me that my kids really aren't very good at looking for things. They needed help almost everyday to find him. But it was such a fun treat to look for him everyday, something they looked SO forward to!!
One funny story about our Elf--it is March and the kids still talk about him being a member of our family. Very often Stephen makes up lists and puts our family members in order--who is the cutest, who is the fatest, etc. And when he does the list of who is the cutest is Brian, ReddyWhiteyHidey, Stephen, Natalie, Mom, and Dad! Stephen has a theory that whoever is youngest (maybe littlest) is cutest!! Seems like a good theory.
Can't wait to see what fun antics ReddyWhiteyHidey comes up with next year--hopefully he will get more creative!
