The Circus

We decided to take the train to the circus. We knew the kids would love it and it is easier than parking.
The Colonel is just becoming the cutest little boy. He loved riding on the train and knew that it was a choo choo! He found some papers on the little table and took great pleasure in playing with those. They were surveys about the train ride, but he pretended they were a phone and was talking on them, he also pretended they were a sword and he hit the camera with them multiple times, they also became a map as he showed us the imaginary "airblame." He is quickly falling in love with airplanes!
The Princess loved looking out the window with Brother and commenting to him about everything they were seeing: "wheat grass (really weeds, but it did look a little like wheat-how did she know about wheat anyway?), rocks, other choo choos, blue sky, and a hundred OF trucks (as she said)."


This video is VERY funny! Stephen was hyper and super excited the entire night. He loved everything. On the way home our constant focus was keeping him contained- it was like he was on crack or something. We have never seen him SO COOK-A-BEAR before, and we have seen him crazy on many occasions- this one topped them all.

When we got to the circus, the seats we had hoped for were sold out, which we didn't expect on a Tuesday night. David ended up buying some pretty awesome seats since that was all that was left- third row! The view was great. It really made it more exciting.
I love this picture of Natalie. She had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of it. She was mesmerized by the show and didn't take her eyes off it.
Stephen LOVED the entire circus. He did exert an independent streak about eating a frozen snowcone all by himself, we almost had to take him out but he calmed down. Well, at least he wasn't mad. He was hyper the whole night and it was hard to hold him on my lap. He was free, which meant he didn't get his own seat.
Natalie loved these white ponies with blue feathers on their heads.

This was the first big opening number, they brought out all the characters and there was a lot of music. Sadly we didn't capture it on camera, but The Colonel began cheering- both hands over his head and laughing. He was SO excited, it was the reaction we thought he would have when he saw Shamu. Finally something got that reaction!!! (and we missed it-ugh!)
